This unique role combines the precision of quality assurance with the hands-on craft of exceptional coffee preparation. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the consistent quality of our coffee and customer experience, bridging the gap between our operational standards and the final product served to our guests.

• Conduct comprehensive end-to-end testing of new coffee recipes, brewing methods, and operational procedures before implementation.
• Evaluate and document the sensory aspects of coffee beverages, including taste, aroma, texture, and presentation.
• Monitor and report on the consistency and quality of all coffee offerings throughout the day.
• Collaborate with the Head Barista and management on quality control initiatives and staff training feedback.
• Identify areas for improvement in workflow, equipment, and ingredient sourcing to enhance overall coffee quality.
• Maintain detailed records of test results, feedback, and recommended adjustments.

• Proven experience as a barista, with a deep understanding of specialty coffee and brewing techniques.
• Exceptional palate and ability to discern subtle flavor profiles and identify quality deviations.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
• Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility in maintaining standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage testing schedules effectively.

• Experience in quality assurance or product testing roles.
• Formal coffee tasting or Q Grader certification.
• Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain principles.
• Familiarity with customer service best practices in a cafe environment.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems and cafe operations.
